July 26, 200520 yr Hello,I have installed FS Antilles 1.3, and when I select TFFF in Martinique to start a flight it gets to about 50% loading and then crashes to desktop.I also have some scenery from "Fly to Caribe", so I disabled this incase it was causing this crashing, but it still happens.Any idea how I could cure it?.ThanksSonia.
July 26, 200520 yr SoniaI've yet to install this update, but others have reportedly loaded it successfully. See this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=265890&page=2You might want to ask there if someone would test TFFF for you.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
July 26, 200520 yr As an outside guess, if this scenery loads some textures in DXT3 format, you need to check in FS your settings - display - hardware - rendertotexture. It may have to be on. If this is the case it may cause some problems with certain panels. This problem also manifests itself with certain cloud texture add-on sets where DXT textures are used. Anyway it can not hurt to try this. You can edit this setting directly in FS9.cfg as well under the card display section 1 being on and 0 being off as:[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT.0]Mode=1024x768x32RenderToTexture=0//PanelAsTexture=0TriLinear=1MipBias=5If making this change causes a start up problem reverse the setting by editing FS9.cfg as shown.
July 26, 200520 yr Thank you for all the guidance, I can't help but think its a clash with some other piece of addon, I just need to find out which. What I have managed to do is remove 4 files from the antillester folder, 4 files with Mart(inique) in the filenames, now it will load at TFFF without crashing, but the coasts are now blocks instead of smooth coasts.I think I will try to disable the rest of the addon scenery one by one until the problem goes away.I just wanted to make sure it wasnt a known issue with a known soloution.Sonia.
July 27, 200520 yr Hello Sonia,Make sure that you deactivate and eventually delete any other scenery FS Antilles covers geographically.Sceneries for Le Raizet, Le Lamentin, Barbados and Tobagoshould be deactivated since they are covered in version 1.3Regards, JAHamilton - Los Angeles.
July 27, 200520 yr I don't know if this will help, but I've read that duplicate AFCAD files can cause CTD s. Suggest you check /addon scenery/scenery for duplicates which may have different names.Hope this helps.
July 28, 200520 yr Hi!To easely find duplicate AFCAD'S files, use "ScanAFD" to be found on differents sites. Freeware!
