Win 10 - Saitek trim wheel crashes system

Featured Replies

I have upgraded to Win 10 and everyhting is fine except I cannot touch my Saitek Cessna trim wheel if it is plugged in. I can be sitting anywhere (desktop, MS Word, FSX, solitaire, etc.) and just move my wheel a little bit and my mouse cursor disappears on and off, the mouse starts beeping in morse code as you move it, and you loose the ability to click on anything. You need to reboot completely to fix the problem. I unplugged it and all is well.

Anyone else have this issue?

Did you install any saitek drivers ? dont uninstall them and try it - then get spad driver 5 and see if that works - good to go

Thank you sir. The SPAD drivers work very well and all is back running in FSX and P3D. That was the answer.

You have them loaded now then go to add remove programs and remove them thats it never use them again - just use spad

Spad also puts an icon in sys tray - leave it there

I have a Saitek X55 and experienced the same exact issue, except that it occurs when I disconnect my controllers (they are both plugged into a USB hub which is connected to one port). Had no issues at all in Windows 8 with this setup. Should I try installed SPAD over my drivers?
