July 28, 200520 yr http://simhq.com/_air4/air_147a.htmlHas anyone purchased any of these videos? I'm just curious if they are worth the high price tag. Thank you.
July 28, 200520 yr Hi,I have the Concorde and B744 Cathay Pacific videos. The Concorde video is the one which came with the special edition of the old FS98 Concorde package by Flightsim Developers. That video is a shortened version of the ITvv video. However, even the shortened version is worth what the whole version costs.Even the B744 video is worth every penny. Those videos are for you who are interested in the various flightsystems in the aircraft. Not if you want a panoramic view of the landscapes. http://www.scandicair.com/images/Banner_douglas2.jpg Staffan
July 28, 200520 yr I've watched the ITVV 747 Cathay Pacific, Gatwick to Kai Tak. An absolute must if you're a 747 fan or of the amazing checker board approach. Unlike JustFlight videos this one is excellently produced, with the Cpt. hosting the whole show. It also features an extensive simulator session where the captain explains in detail most of the systems, and also demonstrates stalls and such. Going by this video alone I'll give ITVV a 10/10 for production. It's on par with stuff you watch on Discovery Channel ;-), like Wings. Definitely beats any of JustFlight's videos where a guy sits in the jump seat a films most of the flight. Edit (Add): I'll second Staffan on his last comment. This one is a serious educational tool. I often refer to it during my MSFS flights.Keith
July 28, 200520 yr I've got the Virgin Atlantic 744 DVD. Its absolutly brilliant. Over 2 hours long, full of information, lots of explanations too. Well worth the money. The question I have to people with other ITVV products, is there any other videos that feature the same, or similar, descriptions of the systems as the Virgin 744 does? As much as I'd still enjoy just hearing the pilots talk, its really nice to have someone say "We do that because..."
July 28, 200520 yr The Platinum collection ones are the best ITVV ones as they come with better ATC comms reception and more cameras. The ITVV videos/DVDs I have are: SAS A320 Simulator, Go Boeing 737-300, Inter European A320, Cathay Boeing 777-200, Debonair BAe146-200, Airtours Airbus A330-200 and the British Midland Fokker 100. All are excellent; the last three on that list being Platinum Collection are the best overal but the one I tend to go back to most is the Inter European A320 due to the excellent presentation by Capt Alan Dix (who also did the A320 Sim DVD) - sadly I hear he has had to retire due to ill-health.
July 29, 200520 yr I second one opinion about justflight.JustFlight are pale in comparison! I have SOME justflight DVD's and some more ITVV's, and generaly, justflight are good for scenery tours and landscapes, and ITVV are far more technical regarding the aircraft and systems... I can recomend some good bargans on ebay.

July 29, 200520 yr Author Hi, I own the Cathay 747 and Go 737 videos from that time they were boxed with DF and PSS products. These are the best videos I've ever seen in terms of explanation how to fly the irons. I'm looking forward to get the Virgin Atlantic 744 DVD I ordered recently. Yes, they are not cheap, but worth any cent anyway and a must have for every serious simmer.Regards, Thomas.
