End it All

Featured Replies

Hi Foks:Need some help in locating a file which shuts down the programs in the back ground which are running when you boot up FS9.I was using the original version of End It All, but when I upgraded my virus program, I can no longer get "End it all" to disable the programs which are running in the background.I understand there is another program which is used by fellow simmers which will do the same thing. If someone would point me in the direction of this program would be greatly appreciated.Tks. for any assistance.Kenny G.

You are probably thinking of FSAutostart, by our own Ken Salter.Basil

Hey Kenny, definitly get FS Autostart. It really makes a difference. I would check out a couple of sites as to which services you can and can't stop before configuring fs autostart. I think there is one site called blackviper.com that I checked out. Trial and error was my method of madness. Good luck. Best regards, Jeff

Hi Everyone:Tks. for the information, Re: Autostart.I have downloaded the program and looking forward to using it.Tks. again.Kenny G.

I previously download FSAutostart but unfortunately i couldn't find which one to shut and which one not to.In other words it wasn't a setting to use for us non pc gurus (like the original Endit all).It was stated by Ken that at the time that he was going to incorporate this in the new version but I am not sure if the current version has this setting.Stelios

When setting up services to be shut down with FSAutoStart, all you have to do is hold your mouse over the first servers and a box on the right shows recommendations on whether to leave it running or safe to shut down. If after setting up all the services this way, you run into problems with something being shut down that shouldn't be, simply edit your profile to leave that service running.
