g1000 compatibility with fsx steam edition

Featured Replies

Is the G1000 compatible with FSX-SE? After installing ths MS G1000 then launching FSX-SE there is a popup about a 'problem with 3rd party software' referencing HyperGauge.dll and asking if I want run this software. Yes and the sim crashes. Previous to this (on a prior install) I was getting a MPI error referencing iSimConnect.dll. (sorry the detais of that are vague now as the 1st error alway happens now).

Thanks in advance for help resolving this.

Unless Dovetail has changed the validity of loading a module, then everything should work without error. The fact you're seeing that message tells me that Dovetail might have made some undocumented changes which is unfortunate.

Ok, but how/where do I access the support email?  I've uninstalled the Mindstar G1000 software for the moment and had to manually remove the hypergauge.dll and link to it in fsx.cfg to remove the pop up message.  Also, I'm not sure my available installs of the Mindstar G1000 has or will soon reach its limit, though, as I've uninstalled/reinstalled a few times already trying to get it to work.

Thanks,
