Contacting Bill Lyons?

Failing any other replies, you could D/L one of his freeware programs and there should be a readme with his e-mail address. But I have a vauge memory of being informed that he is on a summer-long vacation and not responding to sim issues. I could be wrong on that.Best,Jim

Yep... Bill's 'gone fishin' for the summer.

i heard he was retiring from design due to the ammount of critics having fun with his work..Please tell me im wrong and that he will continue desiging.

But the whole fiasco started because several Avsim forum members were bashing his aircraft...

>But the whole fiasco started because several Avsim forum>members were bashing his aircraft...Ugh, let's not start the whole thing over again. Bill himself apologized for what he said about Avsim, and people close to him have said forum posts of any kind weren't the only reason why he was upset. There were e-mails, and other factors.

Bill is a terrific designer and will be back--who knows what he may be thinkin' of cooking up next :)-John

I really love his work. I hope he comes back soon. His work is and was a bargain because of all the extra attention he puts in.Hope he comes back recharged and ready! (hoping big time.)Eric

I am still so impressed with his Challenger--I fly it as often as I get the chance. So much so I am considering the Challenger as the aircraft I'll purchase when I get my SPL. I'd love to see Bill give more attention to Microlights in general. There's one called the Skyboy that looks like it would be a blast to model. He could also do justice to the Titan Tornado, I think. Bill, if you're listening :)-John

Not me. I'd like to see him continue with 1940's and 1950's singles and twins. I love this post war era of flight. :-)However, I also would love to see him do a neat air racer of the 1930'setc. Especially one of those hot rod single engine sea plane racers.Eric

After the Tri-Pacer update, I'd like to see a Taylorcraft or an early post-war Cessna.

i wonder how bill would do in modeling a modern day aircraft. Something like the Piper 6XT?I think he would be great at something like that.

Yep. I'd love to see a nice Taylorcraft. I owned a BC12D many years ago.
