Flying the MJQ400 today with FO William and RC4, everything was fine until after I handed RC4 COMMS over to William, and then he didn't respond to any further PROCEDURE or CHECKLIST command from Descent to After landing nor if I commanded "my COMMS".

 

Any thoughts?

That's a strange one for sure.

 

What can you see atop the screen? Can you see your command? I always have that enabled so I can see what MCE has herd me say.

 

Since MCE is a multi threaded program, FO can do several things at once. I have even herd "Lorna" talking to ATC and anunciating a flow at the same time......but there again she's a lady so they can do things like that:-)

 

I don't know Stuart, this has never happened to me yet. Does this happen with another aircraft? Have you just installed the MJQ400, if not did everything work before?

 

I am sure its a sortable problem.

Not sure if the same thing would happen with a different aircraft, I would need to do more testing.

This was perhaps my first full flight with the Majestic Q400, so could be a one off glitch.
