So...How are things ?

Not counting our chickens yet. The problem seems to have been possibly load-related, possibly technical and/or possibly malicious. Things seem reasonable so far but it may still be necessary to close the forums again if this changes.

...I second that - welcome back...sitting at my desk at work yesterday and since I couldn't get into the forums I had to actually entertain the possiblity of doing some work! Fortunately I got out of it and read the PMDG747 documentation.

And thx for the quick update when the boards went down. I happened to be on at the time and within minutes there was a notice on the front page saying that there was a problem and that it was being worked on. Small things make a big difference sometimes.... :-)billg

Seems now however, that this forum has been 90% taken over by PMDG 747 questions and problems. Doesn't PMDG have it's own support forum?

Don't jinx them! I had the feeling that this would happen when the 747 was released. You had to figure that besides the usual problems of everyone trying to be the FIRST there would be the folks who refuse to read the manual and then fire off posts hoping someone else will do the work for them and answer their questions. One unfortunate side efect of the computer and the internet age is that users these days have little patience to try and work out themselves problems. It wasn't so long ago that you had to email a publisher about bugs and wait for a patch disk to come in the mail! Now, folks want a patch to be out the day after a product is released.Folks, chill out. The guys at PMDG are not crooks! I had a problem getting the PMDG Beech 1900D link to download. Patience, grasshopper, patience. Yeah I had paid my money, but I took a deep breath, flew more flights with the 737 and the Dreamfleet Cardinal, and about 5 days later, downloaded my product and registered it with narry a blip. Moral of the story. Good things come to those who wait.
