August 23, 201510 yr So i got a gtx 780 i bought from ebay but in fsx it stutters when i pan as if its having trouble processing the frames. Its weird but i can hear the noise it makes while it stutters (like it gets stuck) in game so i know its the card. I ise to think it was cpu and i still dont dismiss dat but idk. To test it i switched to on onboard graphics of my i7 4790k, the hd 4600 and to my suprise it i had 17 fps but it was so smooooooth ive never experience fsx like dat. Further more i went to buy a cheap card from best buy (gt610) to try it but that card was acting the same way as the 780. If u have any ideas wat it could be please let me know
August 24, 201510 yr Did you uninstall the driver for the onboard graphics before installing the Nvidia driver? August 24, 201510 yr Couple of things to try: 1) Uninstall the Nvidia driver then reinstall with the custom option. Pick only the driver, not the 3d, physix, experience, etc. When asked to do a clean install, affirm it. 2) Backup and delete your fsx.cfg so you are starting with a new fresh one. You will have to reset your resolution, but use the default settings for everything else. Seems like when this kind of odd behavior happens to me, it ends up being something pretty simple, it's just difficult figuring out which part in the FSX chain is broken. Good luck.
