I have recently purchased NGX reboot and have been using the button control. Is there a logic to when the check list which appears in the main Panel is usually Yellow but sometimes Orange. 

Also where it says the captain needs to perform the preflight procedure. I do not know how to do a Master Lights Test and dim test for example so is it a question of having to go through the FCOM PMDG 737 manual or are these procedures explained in a more simple way anywhere.

One set refers to checklist items, another refers to commands, the red colored items are for non normals like Rejected TO's.

 

Master Lights test:  The switches are right on the main panel.  You just move the switch to the test position.
