August 10, 200520 yr Ken,You may want to try Al Wheeler's Central Coast package. It includes, SBA, SMX, PRB, SBP, Santa Ynez, Lompoc, Vandenberg, and Oceano Co, as well as some other trinkets. http://img250.echo.cx/img250/2845/b18sig5kd.jpg
August 10, 200520 yr Shez,Thanks again for making an airport I would not normally fly into a new interesting place to visit! The realism and attention to detail is way above par! :-)Bob: Thanks for the URL point.
August 10, 200520 yr I agree, Long Beach would be great if it could be updated. A LOT has changed there. Boeing has torn down much of their facilities and Jet Blue has made a nice home there. I would be able to help with photos if needed.Another suggestion would be another unique/interesting smaller airport like you did with KPSP. Like some smaller airport in California (lake Tahoe), or maybe something in Colorado (Aspen?). Should dig up some photos to entice you!Thx as always for your latest contribution, Shez.
August 10, 200520 yr I want to thank Shez as well, the scenery looks great but I do have a question. I noticed after I installed the scenery that I seem to have some elevation problems. There is a hill where the scenery ends on at least two sides of the scenery,I'll try to attach some screenshots so you can see what I mean. I've run into this before with Simflyers LasVegas and Imagines KDEN,I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to fix it and if the fix can be applied to all scenerys where this occurs?I have Justin Tymes freeware mesh and Flight1's ultimate terrain installed. Keep up the good work Shez and thanks again for another great scenery!Rick.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/124407.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/124408.jpg
August 11, 200520 yr Yes I did, I followed the install instructions to the letter. The other two sceneries I have this problem at had installers but I haven't contacted their support forums yet,so I really have no idea what causes this issue. Thanks for answering,Rick.
August 11, 200520 yr Interesting observation. I looked at this and indeed there is a rise in the ground around BUR but it is like a gradual plateau and nothing as dramatic as your pic. However, the plateau is also there in the default...Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
August 11, 200520 yr The raised terrain happens when the airport takes an elevation number and assignes the "entire" airport this elevation, even though the surrounding area could be much different. This plateau also happens with the default las vegas airport unfortunately. Until MS implements sloped runways, this will be a problem
August 12, 200520 yr Hello Shez:I too want to acknowledge your hard work and time you put to detail for this airport. I appreciate your area of focus on the Southern Cali area since my home town is OC. I am still enjoying your KSNA (great airport). Thanks again for your Burbank Airport. Very Well Done!I am interested in your Long Beach airport. Would be great if you updated your FS8 Long Beach airport for FS9. Matthew
August 13, 200520 yr Thanks for taking a look Shez,I had hoped there would be an easy fix but it seems to be an issue with FS9.Keep up the good work and thanks again for a great scenery! Rick.
