PA46 Piper Malibu Unrecognized buttons on main panel

Featured Replies

On the virtual cockpit's main panel just underneath the top of the dashboard there is a P46T plate and right underneath it there is some sort of LCD instrument with the following buttons, some have no tooltip (if it does it is in parenthesis) and some are inoperable. What do they actually do?

  • DTA - inop
  • BAR
  • ALT
  • ALR - inop
  • DH
  • VS
  • MAN - inop
  • INC/Tenths knob (Knob AP Select)

I have clicked on those in flight but did not see anything activating or changing anywhere. In fact that LCD even though it is lighted, it NEVER EVER displays ANYTHING.

  • 2 weeks later...

STEK55x autopilot
Ok here

ALT = Altitude adjust V/S with knob

BAR = barometer etc ..

The Carenado Autopilot manual page 1 shows picture of the two autopilot components.

And both working ok here.

On the far left is a switch labeled FD/AP MASTER, you have to have that at least in the FD position (one left click).

Yes, I have it activated but for what I see the one on the pilot's side doesn't work well, the one on the middle/copilot side responds to my commands. I wonder why they put two on the same panel, isn't one just enough?

What do you mean by "the one on the Pilot's side doesn't work well"?

I do not see two (of any autopilot switch or gauge) on the same panel.

What exactly are you talking about?

Have you read the Carenado Autopilot manual (page 1 and 2)?
