September 9, 201510 yr So as I was browsing the interwebs for something to waste my money on, I found something that appeared to actually be a very useful addition to my FS woes of restoring FSX and P3D backups. The problem is that it almost sounds too good to be true so my pre-purchasing skepticism is getting the best of me. The program is called FSCubed and its made by an old scenery company, Sim Design Group, that I remember buying some FS9 sceneries from. The reason that I am skeptical is because it claims to be able to identify, compress, and archive any scenery and/or airport from any developer in one click and fully restore it to its "original state" and scenery order with no cd-keys, reinstallation, or direction in one more click. I had previously used the terrible technique of copying folders and my scenery file to a hard drive and trying to copy it back, but that only worked about 30% of the time. So like many simmers, I end up just spending a day or two developing a minor case of carpal tunnel, by reinstalling all of my scenery one by one. So my question is, has anyone tried this program? There is one review on SimMarket that is favorable but I dont know if thats enough to make me bite the bullet. Feedback from anyone with experience in this field or with this product is appreciated. Let me guess.... you want 64bit. Josh Daniels-Johannson
September 10, 201510 yr Hi, You might find this video review informative regarding FSCubed. I think it would come in very handy, especially when I decide to change from boxed FSX to FSX-SE and Windows 10, or other times when you need to reinstall FSX: Cheers.
September 10, 201510 yr Author Thanks for that. Super helpful by someone whose opinion I trust. Seems like the dev has figured out how to crack the proverbial "code" on how to actually pull this off. Off to buy! Let me guess.... you want 64bit. Josh Daniels-Johannson
September 11, 201510 yr Any one have tested and confirm that backup aircraft like PMDG and scenery? By the video I watch only vector and FSDT have to be reinstalled? I wondering If I backup on a FSX and then restore on a FSX-SE on Windows 10 works?
