Prepar3D V 3.4 Released
I would disagree, I just did a benchmark on a fresh install of the 777-300 and one airport. With it I went from 45fps to 21fps when using the taxi camera. The suspected .Net improvements you are getting seem out of place.

Prepar3D V 3.4 Released
You are man of many talents sir! Still see your face every time I shave with one of you masterpiece razors. Its not my video, but he usually does a great job when it comes to highlighting features. He is the one who sold me on P3D v3

I found this video that shows how it works here. Also provides some good guidance on the cinematographer feature.

What is the best software to set up Saitek Pro Panels?
SPAD allows for the individual programming of each switch and button on your Saitek Panels using a graphical interface. It makes things much easier and intuitive for the user than FSUIPC does. Also, FSUIPC does not recognize all of the clicks of the multipanel, instrument panel, etc which doesnt allow you to effectively program them individually. FSUIPC is more useful for the yoke and throttle than anything else.

How can anyone complain?
I know they have been around for a while. But I dont think anyone would put them in the ranks of A2A, PMDG, Majestic, Milviz, Aerosoft, RealAir, etc. If they aren't a top 5 dev, it would take a little more to make me jump head first into it. Regardless, I own AF2, enjoy it (especially in VR), and look forward to its future.

How can anyone complain?
I dont know if I would call them well known. They make oddball GA aircraft, except the Lear that they made, I tried that Blade plane once and it was pretty horrible. Regardless, I guess its better than nothing. Would be more excited to see bigger names show some interest. But as he stated in that thread, the aircraft tools are non-existent at this time, so it may be a little while until devs can really get a feel of what is possible to develop in this platform.

Looks like a Quickie in that thread, not a Trinidad

How can anyone complain?
I have a slightly different take on things. 1. Is it 64 bit? Yes 2. Is it as easy as P3D and FSX to add 3rd party addon sceneries? It is easier than P3D but uses a similar tech to DTG direct scenery in FSX Steam in that it uses Steam to install sceneries. 3. Is it a globe with round earth topology? Yes, but most of the world isnt modeled. Only the South West US and Switzerland. Even in these areas, its not complete as many airports are not modeled at all. So you have most of the world that isn't usable. At its current pace, you will have to pay for the world one piece at a time. 4. Can we addon external weather, ATC, Airliners, Textures like REX etc ? Not at this time. They opened up an SDK for 3PD's but so far no notable ones have jumped on board. 5. Does it make use of Multi core, multi Processor CPUs? So far it is an amazing performer, but you have to recognize that in most of the coverage area its just flat photoreal. No way of telling how it performs with more fleshed out autogen. 6. IS it DX12? No. And I dont see this as a bad thing as DX12 is still only limited to Windows 10 and has its own restrictions. 7. Can we add UT AI traffic No. At this time there is no AI traffic at all and the liveries that exist are woefully outdated. 8. Can it use FSUIPC for home cockpit? No. At this time is doesnt have a competitor to Simconnect which would allow this customization. But the dev has been adding support for some basic Saitek hardware. 9. Can we add EZDOK (or does it come with its own stuff that we do not need EZDOK) No. Again, the SDK may allow this, but the current camera system is severely limited.

Making the jump to Projectors - Canon REALiS WUX450ST Pro
I would spend the money on a motorized TQ and Trim wheel instead of these projectors. They have tremendous light run off and as Gerard said, are not nearly as sharp as a good 4k TV

The only reason I would want to live that long, is if I had a cool story like his to tell to generations. God speed.

TIME magazine lists FSX in "Top 50 Best Video Games of All Time"
If it was a list of "The Top 50 Best Flight Sims of All Time" that may be a relevant point. Unfortunately, X-Plane has a fraction of the users and impact on the larger PC community when compared to the MSFS franchise.

Fellow Simmer Needs Help!
I would be less concerned about who did it and more concerned about the victim. As a Physician myself, I can tell you that healthcare in America has a long way to go so that we don't put people, without the financial means, out on the street. Because of this, I am happy to make a donation to this poor gentleman, now and in the future as we watch his recovery. I don't know him, but it is a tragedy none the less.

FSX:SE Reccommend me a CPU!
For a 6700 you will need a Z170 board. I would personally look for a relatively cheap one from one of the major manufacturers such as ASUS, EVGA, MSI, and Gigabyte and make sure it allows overclocking. The price of DDR4 has come down significantly so get yourself a 16gb kit on some dual channel stuff (2 sticks or 4 are both fine). Those are the 3 components you will need.

What frustrates you the most about today's flight sims?
OOM's! Plain and simple. I actually think FSX/P3D looks spectacular with modern sceneries and aircraft. Just look at some of the screen shot forums. My sim is gorgeous and I couldnt ask for much more in terms of visuals. I have even managed to get performance to 30FPS stable and I am happy with that now. But the Out of Memory errors which show up and cause crashes on approach and 8 hour long hauls with a failed attempt at getting to the gate or on the ground, is the more immersion breaking feature I still resent. Turn settings down to the point where the sim is hardly as gorgeous, and you still get them. Its almost as if we have come too far with such an old platform. It has buckled under its own weight.

- Should I wait for X-Plane 11?
Hey All, A while ago I posted my optimism for the X-Plane community with the amazing advancements you have seen in recent years with addon's and 3pd's supporting the platform. I have been contemplating giving it a go over the last few months, but after seeing the new developments at FSCon '16, I saw a bunch of improvements (namely the GUI and control menu) that gave me a moment of pause. I dont know if you all know of when it will be coming, but from the looks of it and the speed at which LR works, I would expect the new sim to come in months, not years. So on to my question, Do you all think it would be worth it just to wait it out? Does LR usually offer an upgrade discount/path? From XP9 to 10, was addon functionality broken? Just wondering what the ramifications could be by jumping in too early. Thanks and look forward to seeing your community grow!- Unrealistic 787 Wing Flex...on PMDG 777 + Main Landing Gear Does Not Lift On Rotate
