September 24, 201510 yr Hello I need a help. Every time when the aircraft is at 31NM far away on route to KINAI in japan , the P3D will not respond definitely. I fly with PMDG777 from LAX to PVG. It seems the P3D get into an infinite loop at that point. The problem has stopped P3D from interacting with WIN7 system. Could you give me a help. Any help greatly appreciated! September 24, 201510 yr Moderator Is it default scenery or are you using an add-on? Typically that could be caused by a corrupt file. Does it happen with other aircraft at the same location? Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
September 25, 201510 yr Author I've tried PMDG737. But unfortunately it happens at the same location. I don't know how to fix it. It is really frustrated. Yang Zhou Aviation Enthusiast
September 25, 201510 yr First off, it sounds like a long haul flight you are attempting to complete. It may have something to do with the aircraft, but not entirely. You have to factor in VAS usage, which PMDG products do tend to use more than others. Is P3D actually freezing and not responding when you get to a certain point? Does the program crash out completely and take you back to your desktop? If so, then it's an OOM (Out Of memory) error, more than likely caused by VAS limits reached, which is 4gb (on a 64-bit system) and 3gb (on a 32-bit system). Are you still hearing sounds when it freezes? As Vic pointed out, what other add-ons do you have running at the time? -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
September 25, 201510 yr Author Thank you all for suggestion. I am using ORBX. P3D will stop responding and freeze when the plane flies to the same location whatever PMDG777 or 737. It is not an OOM error, or crash to the desktop. Yang Zhou Aviation Enthusiast
September 25, 201510 yr So the sim freezes and you can no longer control the simulator? Have you tried to reach out to Lockheed Martin at their forum? -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
September 25, 201510 yr Author Yes. I cannot control the simulator any more. I have no idea it has something to do with the scenery. Yang Zhou Aviation Enthusiast
