P3D v2.5 not responding in certain scenery

Featured Replies

Hello

I need a help. Every time when the aircraft is at 31NM far away on route to KINAI in japan , the P3D will not respond definitely. I fly with PMDG777 from LAX to PVG. It seems the P3D get into an infinite loop at that point. The problem has stopped P3D from interacting with WIN7 system. Could you give me a help. Any help greatly appreciated!

Is it default scenery or are you using an add-on? Typically that could be caused by a corrupt file. Does it happen with other aircraft at the same location?

I've tried PMDG737. But unfortunately it happens at the same location. I don't know how to fix it. It is really frustrated.

First off, it sounds like a long haul flight you are attempting to complete.  It may have something to do with the aircraft, but not entirely.  You have to factor in VAS usage, which PMDG products do tend to use more than others.  Is P3D actually freezing and not responding when you get to a certain point?  Does the program crash out completely and take you back to your desktop?  If so, then it's an OOM (Out Of memory) error, more than likely caused by VAS limits reached, which is 4gb (on a 64-bit system) and 3gb (on a 32-bit system).  Are you still hearing sounds when it freezes?  As Vic pointed out, what other add-ons do you have running at the time?

Thank you all for suggestion. I am using ORBX. P3D will stop responding and freeze when the plane flies to the same location whatever PMDG777 or 737. It is not an OOM error, or crash to the desktop.

So the sim freezes and you can no longer control the simulator?  Have you tried to reach out to Lockheed Martin at their forum?

Yes. I cannot control the simulator any more. I have no idea it has something to do with the scenery.
