What are HDR and FXAA? I am vague about what they might do/not do.

Make sure to tune your visual settings. This can be helped by turning FXAA and HDR off. HDR is the main culprit, as the blur comes from the computer assuming the white text is bright, which bleeds ove

FXAA was already off HDR fixed it you're a genius.

Only on Wednesdays...the rest of the week, I just spin a wheel and hope I land on a decent answer.

(In reality, it was something I noticed when messing with the options when the 777 was in P3D beta.)

HDR is a processing and rendering technique that makes in-sim imagery more realistic in appearance. In the case of P3D, it's that effect where you look out the window and the interior darkens, and vice versa - just as if you were doing the same in the plane in real life. This also has a subtle effect on the text, as it's white, while a lot of the rest of the plane is darker. The white gets processed by the HDR rendering (surprisingly, not a redundant use of that acronym) as "bright" and gets a little bit of halo effect, which causes the 'blurriness'.

FXAA is "fast approximate anti-aliasing." Basically, anti-aliasing that uses less computing power, but at a cost to some necessary sharpness.

Thanks Kyle. I shall keep both OFF until advised otherwise.

Why? It's a personal preference thing, honestly. I rather like the HDR thing.

With settings, it's truly important to find the balance you like. Some people prefer barren landscapes in an effort to get max FPS. Some people like to sacrifice FPS for a ton of autogen, or better AA. It's not a "thou shalt" kind of thing.

Finallly got it all set up.  Fatal error after about an hour flying from Den to Hnl...Ugh.

Have done three more very long hauls without an issue.  Huge improvement over 2.5!!

I have been having this issue from the moment I first flew in V3:

After takeoff the ground roll sound keeps playing. Usually it quits after retracting the first set of flaps, but yesterday I actually had a crash with said something like: "Sound.dll" or so.

Also when slewing around using EZCA inside the cockpit, the autopilot triggers off and the nose tilts down.

Any idea on what this might be?

Usually trim. Check your key commands in the sim.
