Towing / pushing "TUG for FS2004

Featured Replies

I have been waiting for over two years for somebody, anybody to make a towing/pushing "tug" for FS2004. Somebody had it in a program for Fs2002, but I've never ever seen it in any program for FS2004 and I'd really like to have one !!!! Does anybody know any program or add-on for a Aircraft towing Tug? Thanks, jerrycwo4

the POSKY 767 V4 series has one with it

Gee... waited two years? In that amount of time you probably could have learned how to model and designed one yourself to share! ;) What we discovered was FS2004 limitations would not allow a universal tug to be created. You can only create one that is specifically part of the aircraft model. Hence why you see one specifically for the 767 or for the Ariane aircraft.

Thanks for the info. Guess that is the reason one never came out. My plane of choice now is the Citation X and of course it does not have it's on tug. May the next Flight Sim will have one for all aircraft again. jerrycwo4

I believe it's possible. Some examplesGrab the FS LPDIRECT3D8 and LPDIRECT3DDEVICE8 and draw the tug;Use Directplay and draw a multiplayer tug;Since people start to know how to control AI maybe an AI tug;Jos

Well, there is push/pull tug functionality available here at the library. Do a search for "Etienne" (the author of it), and you will see what I mean. It provides excellent push back and towing capabilities, as well as taxi speed control and other things, if you choose to install it all. I stick with the push/pull...Note that I didn't say 'tug'. Because there is no visible tug, which is the only drawback to this. Etienne was involved in creating such a thing at one time, but that is now so long ago that I suppose it has been scrapped.HTH & BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH

Thanks again for the additional info. I do have that "tug" towing/pushing program and I use it in aircraft that are hard to adjust their taxing speeds, but alss, NO tug. jerrycwo4
