October 9, 201510 yr Hi all, I did the Win 10 update from a (german) Win 7 OS. Everything works nice with P3D V3. Just installed B777 FS2 Crew for P3D V3 and of course I need to switch the speed recognition to english language. Unfortuneately I can´t do it! In the control panel under language I installed and activated the english language but when I go to the speech recognition control panel I´m not able to switch to the english language. Not supported in this language or something similar one can read. Any idea what to do? Thanks in advance! Holger Best Regards, Holger Mut
October 9, 201510 yr Commercial Member Hi Holger, You're not doing something right. I don't think you're installing the English US pack properly. 1. Go to "Search the web and windows". 2. Type in "Langauge". 3. Select Language Control Panel. 4. Select Add a Language. 5. Select English. 6. Select English - US. I'm assuming you're in an Admin account. That should do the trick. B. October 9, 201510 yr Author Hi Bryan, thank you for your quick answer! What you wrote is exactly what I did. Tried it again and again without success :( When I go to the speech recognition panel I only can read "Windows Speech Recognition is not avaible for the current display language" I tried british English and US English and yes I´m in Admin-Mode. Best Regards, Holger Mut
October 9, 201510 yr Author I´m running out of ideas ... As you can see US English is installed and active: If I want to start speech recognition ... If I try to this there is simply no US English there (only german as you can see) I´m coming from win 7. Is there something more to do as to download the US language pack? Probably audio files seperately? I also tried this (all 4 Fixes): http://www.askvg.com/fix-speech-recognition-shows-change-recognizer-language-error-in-windows-vista-and-7/ no success at all ... October 9, 201510 yr Author Sorry for the long monologue ... but fortuneately finally I was able to solve the problem! This was the solution: 1. Click' Start' button, then choose 'Setting' 2. Choose 'System' then click 'Apps & features' in left panel. In right panel, click 'Manage optional features'. 3. Click 'Add features' to install following two components. English (US) speech recognition English (US) text-to-speech Best regards, Holger Best Regards, Holger Mut
