October 13, 201510 yr I got an issue with Armando's nice program. As known its interface has a column, where it is shown the distance to destination of an AI aircraft. As it is now, it shows inconsistent values, e.g. 6037 NM instead of few miles from AI destination. The adjacent column "Distance to you" shows the right values. In the past I had gotten it working properly just adding the traffictoolbox.dll in FS9 modules. Don't why, but it worked. In the next computer systems I had, it has never worked as it meant to, despite I still use traffictoolbox.dll in FS9 modules.Any ideas how to solve it ?Thanks for your time. Sotiris Stavrakis
October 14, 201510 yr It uses fsuipc3 and will provide its own registration as I recall. fsuipc3 3.999z8 is at: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/ In that same forum go here and download Traffic Look: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ similar to traffic toolbox but just opens a passive stand-alone window showing your aircraft and ai within the maximum range. There are distance columns as well to serve as a comparison. It uses fsuipc3 as well. You do not need to have a paid registration for these to work.
October 14, 201510 yr Author Ron, Thanks for your reply. I always had a registered version of FSUIPC 3, but this did not help, unless you give me some details of how to do that. I also had always TrafficLook, but, as you know, it doesn't provide AI separation. It can be used in some cases only. Sotiris Stavrakis
October 15, 201510 yr Traffic Look is just a passive monitoring application. Traffic Toolbox monitors but is also functional such as I recall killing an ai aircraft. I pefer to use AI Smooth version 1.2. That version is for both FSX and FS9 but I can not find it anymore here or other favorite library anymore. I did turn it up here: http://avsimrus.com/f/fsx-utilities-84/aismooth-v1-20-8268.html AI Smooth is a separation utility and includes optionally the user aircraft protection and has several parameters to set. Here's its setup screen in part: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hz5uyrtpszw3ieh/AISMOOTHv120SETTINGS.jpg?dl=0
October 15, 201510 yr Author Ron, I have been aware of both programs (FSAI separation and AI Smooth) a long time ago and I prefer FSAI. That 's why I sent this message. Thanks. Sotiris Stavrakis
October 15, 201510 yr I'm using both programs with the settings from a guide someone wrote if you're using both programs together. Can't remember who wrote the guide but been happy with the set up. Mark Daniels
