October 17, 201510 yr Fired up with real time this morning... airport was N14, time a bit after 0600. Sky outside was brightening with blue, and orange near the horizon; however, XPX was basically pitch black with only a hint of the oncoming sunrise... Any way to fix? thx Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
October 17, 201510 yr That's a known issue with X-Plane. The lighting and skycolor remain dark too late before sunrise, and too early after sunset. Unfortunately the only way to partially reduce this, is to manually edit skycolors+lighting textures. This way, the discrepancy between X-Plane and real life lighting/skycolors could be reduced to around 5 minutes. Not perfect, but still better than it is now. October 17, 201510 yr Try setting the GMT offset within the date&time screen also , this also has an effect on this.
October 17, 201510 yr Author Actually that's what I did Interestingly, zulu offset was 0 & I had to make it +3 or something to get some color in the sky. Not sure what's up with that. H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
