  1. The problem isn't actually the lights, it's the distance which roads are being loaded too. Street lights are auto-generated nearby streets (contorled by roads.net) , if the street isn't loaded -> lights are also not. That's why hand-placed lights (in a custom scenery) are loaded to the far distance and those auto-generated lights stop somewhere after 10 miles or so.
  2. They never talk about what's coming to next major versions until a few monthe before release. But I guess if they already have working demos , and a major version should have some new big features , it makes sense that those stuff are going into V11 , but it's a pure speculation by me :-) BTW , in one of the betas in 10.40 IIRC , they included by mistake a folder called interface11 and in the next update they removed it , this can be a hint LOL Well I guess they'll also optimize stuff in the rendering engine to make performance better (use more cores on the cpu for rendering calulations etc..)
  3. Sorry for this late comment.. Just wanted to say that your skycolors looks awesome and I hope you'll release those :-)
  4. Nice video! Where did you found cameron's quote about this 737? Maybe IXEG started working on an NG alongside updating the 737CL ??
  5. To try to achieve a photorealistic look FSX/P3D developers uses stuff like baking and cube maps (which consumes alot of resources and time) While it can look awesome sometimes , most of the time it'll just look off. FYI Xplane has a plugin that can add this kind of reflections , FF767 and dden's Challenger 300 have this. PBR basiclly memics real physics and has an effect on everything , in the presentation Ben was focusing on the reflections on the aircraft , however you can see it makes the trees/water/buildings/asphalt/concrete look more natural. So it'll look natural no matter what time or weather ,the final result is much more accurate comparing to what you expect to see in real life. And developers don't need to do all of those baking stuff... This is a better quality and audio video for the new features part:
  6. As I understood from the video... it's not a "half way to real Environemtn Reflections" , it's the hall package. It gets wayyy beyond what FSX/P3D has to offer in this term. Although they look great at some situations , FSX/P3D lightning and reflections looks too cartoony at many other situations. Although the screen shots aren't shown at their best quality through the video camera , I can't emphasize how stunned Im by PBR and it behaves EXCATLY how it should in real life , in different time and weather conditions. 2 Of the 737 pictures were on a sunny day , colors are no longer washed-out , it looks like a true sunny day. Then comes those amazing sunset pictures , not too dark anymore , with colors and reflections are perfect. The cessna pictures are on a gray cloudy day , and again , it looks awesome , not too dark and washed-out colors. Evrything looks just..as my eyes expect it to be in real life Graphics-wise , XP with PBR will easily outrun FSX/P3D/DTGFS or any other simulator... Finally a simulator that looks like modern games! I hope the pictures they showcased will be released to public in full quality.
  7. XP with PBR and ambient occlusion will just kill any other simulator graphics wise.. In terms of lightning and how objects will appear , it's what games like GTA V are using , XP looking like this is a dream comes true! Everyone should be excited , even those who are on FSX/P3D , finally a simulator that is a true "Next gen". Although they didn't talk about times , if they can show pictures it means it's in a very advanced development , so I think this will most likely be V11.
  8. There is a list of things that'll not be in v1.0 but will be in next versions. http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/8526-things-that-are-not-going-to-be-in-v10/?page=1 also not in v1.03 because all updates for now were hotfixes for bugs.
  9. It's important that we support this kinds of developers. Those guys are one of the best in FSX/P3D , and as you can see they can make even more awesome sceneries in Xplane.
  10. released! http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd,,D13806
  11. When I said "29palms coming to Xplane" I was actually talking about the group who develops the airport , which happens to be called 29Palms also LOL. http://www.29palms.de/ They have top quality sceneries for FSX , and according to the comment in aerosoft forums the plan is to bring them to Xplane. Another top-notch scenery developer is coming for Xplane and we all should be really excited about it.

  13. None of the today simulators depects a sunny day as it should be , even in the outerra shots. I really tried to achieve that with Xplane , but when you raise the GAMMA settings colors tends to be washed-out. This is how it should look like: Although it's GTA V and not a simulator , but it's an example of how lightning should be. The good news are , at least n Xplane's part , I recall the developers at flightsimcon and also at their dev blog talking about taking the lighning model to another level just like modern games (GTA V was mentioned as an example).
  14. That's just amazing ... thanks! It seems like you have searched for some VFR routes in norway , can you recomend a tour (including airports with a custom scenery) in the fjors starting from the airport you mentioned? This should be nice with the AirfoilLabs C172 :-)
  15. Tony , Those sets are just amazing , your work is absloutly incredible. "As Real As It Gets"
  16. That's amazing! Thanks , can't wait.
  17. Hi tony I'm eagerly waiting for more World2XP autogen packages , using those with photoscenery is "as real as it gets" in any simulator. Great job and thank you! mm just a question , are you planning GB pro V2? (not that it isn't great now , just remeber I read that once :-) )
  18. There at least 4 streams already of ~1.5-2 hours flight. People just say "pass" because of their previous products , which I don't have but I'm aware of their issues. So Im not a fan of their products , but I really suggest for you folks to not judge yet. I wathced al the streams , this 767 seems to be awesome. The cockpit is really beautiful and the colors look great in each time/weather. Someone mentioned wrong gears , so check carefully , it is fixed and the animation is correct (I also commented on their thread at the org when it was wrong)
  19. Didn't hear any passengers in the 2 streams I watched. Seriously, not a fan of the FF's777&757 , but the 767 looks like they finally reached the level we hoped the'll reach.
  20. Watched the 767 stream I gotta say I was dissapointed in the first previews , but now I think this plane will be awesome! The VC finally looks great , the functionality and systems complexity are really awesome ( PMDG level IMO , speaking as someone who isn't a fan of previous FF planes , and flown PMDG airliners in my FSX days). There are a few stuff that I didn't like , for example the fonts in the MCP should be a bit samller , that I hope they'll fix. But overall this plane looks like the 767 I always waited for!
  21. Hey tony , it looks awesome , and performance are really acceptable even on my old machine , thanks!! Could Germany & switzerland be next? They both have great OSM coverage , and their art work are basicly the same.
  22. Nice! How does FSGRW work with smp3? I mean in term of weather transitions
  23. BTW I do agree cumulus clouds looks kinda weird from above , however I haven't saw in any simulator *cumulus* clouds that looks natural from the above , not even in REX in P3D/FSX. And one of the most important things is the sky colors , Personaly I kinda don't like the ones that come with SMP , I use a set called "Carolina blue" from the org (there are many skcolors in this package , I use the one called Real City X)
  24. Some shots :-) As for performance , new overcast and sratus are great!! I have more FPS than regular cumulus broken clouds for example. As for regular comulus performance , maybe a little hit but considirng draw distnace is higher it's OK. As long as you don't exhause your RAM and VRAM everything will be great. I love the fogbows. And I think I found a bug in the new overcast ; I get that visibility should decrease gradually while entering the clouds , however it starts too early IMO and it kills the feeling of entering this amazing cloud layer. It just doesn't make sense when I didn't even got to the clouds altitude and visibilty is decreasing. It also happens when escaping the clouds but vice versa , visibility increases too late. looks like visbility changing and the clouds height aren't matching each other.
