August 22, 200520 yr I'm no expert, but you may have some sort of memory leak - add-on sceneries are particularly prone to cause this I believe. For starters, try searching the forums for "memory leak" or something. Also, check through your Scenery and Add-on Scenery folders. Scenery downloads usually comes in pairs: a Scenery folder and a Texture folder. If the Texture folder is empty, I believe this can contribute to memory loss as time progresses.
August 22, 200520 yr I thought the FS9/FS2004 patch was supposed to fix the very problem you describe. Have you installed this fix? You should have version FS 9.1
August 22, 200520 yr >What exactly is a "memory leak" anyway?Applications and DLL's loaded into the memory fail to unload when they're no longer needed. Result: Memory gets clogged and system crawls.Keith
August 22, 200520 yr >What exactly is a "memory leak" anyway?A memory leak is when a program allocates or reserves memory for some task, but when the task is completed does not release the memory. Then later on re-allocates more memory to do the same task again, but again when the task is completed does not release the memory. The more this scenario is repeated the less memory that is available for it and the other processes running.Regards.Ernie.
