Is your MFD working correctly ?

Featured Replies

I remarked that a number of things are not working correctly on the MFD:

1) In the "Systems" pages, on the FUEL page the remaining fuel quantity is in Kilograms unit, although the label is "lb", but on the engine column on the left of the MFD it is in pounds. Modyfing the fuel unit on the "Aux" page does not change anything.

2) The ECS (environmental control systems) page seems to be completely static. The bleed valves do not open on the diagram when the bleed switches are on.

3) On the STATUS panel, the hydraulic pressure remains at zero with Nr 2 engine running and the hydraulic pump on. You need to have Nr 1 engine running to get hydraulic pressure. Nevertheless the flaps are working as much as you want. When you cut both engines the hydraulic pressure remains high, even when you move the flaps up and down.

4) On the engine side panel, the ignitions never turn on, even during the engine start. And even with the ignition switches "ON".

A nice model, but with a lot of things to improve. It gives the impression that the Phenom 300 is sold unfinished.

Hello Phil,

I forwarded your post directly to Carenado management as asked that they look into this and include as many updates and fixes as possible in the upcoming update.

I checked the Fuel Synoptic Page and my system seems to work correctly. The readout IS in pounds and the specific numbers correlate to the amount of fuel indicated in each tank when checked against the systems section on the left third of the MFD screen and the FSX drop down feature. I checked full fuel in both tanks and made a takeoff and checked that Fuel Pressure for each engine was correct and that FF went from 221/engine to 1930 PPH for each engine at full thrust climbout.

I brought up the FUEL Synoptic Page and verified that it fully agreed with the other numbers that I could check and it is correct and in Pounds - both total and used. I flipped each of the Fuel Pump switches and the indication on the Synoptic Page turned from white to green to show 'in operation'. This worked for each switch and for both at the same time.

I then rotated the Fuel Tranfer switch and the Synoptic Page XFR indication turned green and the arrow rotated to the proper direction.

I then shut down the left engine and set the right engine at 80% N1 and activated the fuel transfer system from left tank to right tank. I could see the fuel amount decreasing when the XFR was active. The indications are that this particular Synoptic Page is working properly and showing correct indications. There may be some inaccurate data but this is quite good for when compared to anything similar that we have for comparison in FSX.

I saw nothing to suggest KILOGRAMs for fuel weights.

Maybe someone else, will pick one of your other page discrepancies and check it against their system. I don't have time to check each page.

Regards,

Ray

Thanks for answering Raymar.

I am really surprised about your picture of your MFD fuel page.

Here is mine:

As you can see the fuel quantity on the fuel synoptics is in Kilograms, although labeled as pounds, and in pounds on the engine page on the left side.

Phil,

Looks like your Fuel synoptic page screenshot did not make it to the screen. Maybe you can try again.

Hey Ray,

Do you have any info on when they will be releasing a new update?  For bug fixes, p3d v3 support, and maybe performance?

thanks.
