I agree, I think both products compliment each other pretty well. My pics were from the same flight, and have a good variety of cloud structure and weather from climb to landing.

lol, yeah. I can pretty much find popcorn in any cloud screenshot. I've been using REX and isn't always perfect. I'm still experimenting with both to try and find the best results, mixing sky colors, cloud textures, and cloud structures, etc. I'm hoping Rex Sky Force 3D will be the game changer.

This also happened to me since 3.2 but it went away after reloading P3D i think. I Was having major P3D CTD's and that was fixed by reinstalling GSX Addon Manager. It's possible that fixed it, but I can't confirm.

Really? i know v1.2 had the Altitude bug, i just discovered 1.3 is out, because of the bugs I haven't flown this in months. Going to try Nav Extension 1.3 now to confirm this. :UPDATE: I can confirm with the new Navigraph Extension version 1.3 the altitude bug is fixed, way to go Carenado, finally. Except the OBS button is still broke, have to switch between OBS & GPS with a hotkey, ridiculous this still isn't fixed.

I get small pauses over complex airports. But one major thing that fixed my issues was changing Affinity mask=0 Any setting for it caused major performance issues for me. Can you post your prepar3d.cfg file in this thread? Some people may see something there that may be causing problems. What airplanes have you tried? Do they all stutter in VC view? run MSCONFIG, disable all services except Microsoft ones, uncheck all unnecessary startup items, reboot and try that.

I'm not sure how the real G1000 works, but what i've found on Carenado's version, I have to enter in the SID/STAR/APP First, then I can insert waypoints. Never works unless you input the waypoints last, in my experience with it.

Navigraph Extension version 1.2 I would avoid, unless you want to put in every single altitude for every waypoint from start to finish. I honestly haven't flown this airplane in a long while since i bought Aerosoft's Airbus, with their newest update. Their FMS works like a dream in that plane.

I'm pretty sure Carenado's response to saving G1000 flight plans was no. But I don't know about loading a fsx flight plan into it, not sure about that one.

I have Carenado's EMB505 Phenom 300. It works fine in P3Dv3. If you don't have the migration tool, you can still get it to install with a little extra step, and you have to edit the dll.xml file to get the navigraph to work. There is a sub forum here for this jet for questions and info. Its really a good jet, and if you buy the Nav Extension, i would stick with the Navigraph extension version 1.1, the newest 1.2 has problems. Check out FS MAnia's videos on youtube, he does a great job of teaching you the ins and outs of this jet for fsx, but still applies to P3Dv3. And he's very entertaining to watch.

Hey Pero, Thanks for looking into these so quickly. I'm surprised, I have the new Migration Tool, but everything is still editing the xml's in the old location, but seems to work? It's strange, but I will copy over the xml's to the new location.

i have those files in two different locations: C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 & C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 All my addons are in the .xml's in %appdata% folder, and not in the %programdata% does this help? thanks for looking into these Pero !

Hey Pero, When I open the scenery manager, either edit something or not, then close it, Simstarter disappears, but still running in the background, have to end task then re-open it. Has anyone else run into this? If I open the scenery manager from the tools menu it works fine. Only if I open it from a newly created profile, from the ScenerySet Tab. Not a big deal. I'm using Win 8.1 x64, if that makes any difference. Also, DLL.xml and Exe.xml show no entries.

Same here, got my java, installed SIMstart 2.7, ready to start flying. I will say, it was way better for me to install fresh, uninstall the old, delete the old folder, then install 2.7. My recommendation anyway.

What Nav extension do you have installed? 1.2 was giving me issues with putting the same altitude for every sid/waypoint/star, just flat across the board. So i rolled back to 1.1, but I think its causing my P3d v3 to crash, but not certain on that. What Sim are you using? what versions of the plane/nav extension are installed? I would submit them a ticket, they are pretty good with getting back to you.

I think I solved the problem. It was something to do with orbx library insertion points and FTX entry needs to be below non orbx airports but above all orbx stuff. I adjusted it within FTX Central and the problem went away. From what i've read the orders will change if you go into FTX Central and set regions with the FTX entry in the wrong order. thanks for following up, hope your new release comes out soon !

Fix the VAS memory issues, and an increase in FPS around 3rd Party Airports and I'd be one happy camper.

I wouldn't get too excited about Dovetail's next sim. It's definitely geared toward the casual simmer. And hey, maybe that's your thing. It's said they want to release it for consoles, if that isn't a Huge red flag of it's intent, I don't know what is. Xbone babies will get a mission based SIM for their little controller hands.

I keep having to adjust some of my scenery order for profiles. Mostly with 3rd party airports, they get moved further down the list, and I have to move them back to the top. Also I'm a little confused at commenting or committing a change to the profile scenery after closing it. Is that typo in the software? I keep having to move them up again, seems to happen after I create a new profile maybe, but I'm not exactly sure that's why. Any ideas? thanks.
