Mouse clickability problem

Featured Replies

Sim is executing OK but my mouse is not working consistently. I have ensured that my eyepoint is not within the headrest. I have only the PMDG777 installed apart from the P3Dv3 default aircraft.

When I click the mouse on some instruments (e.g. standby AI, landing lights) the actions work correctly. But for most of the clickable points, the mouse remains as an arrow.

If I press the space bar, the + sign remains active for view panning until I press it again, rather than disappearing on release. My Settings - Controls>Buttons and Keys>Mouse - control view direction (on/off) shows it to be assigned to SPACE.

I have repaired the aircraft by executing the B777-200LR repair action, followed by the B777-300ER repair action, but no change.

Any ideas of what is going wrong?

Cheers, Richard

This is one of the reasons I do not recommend fussing with an install unless it's absolutely necessary. In the case of clicking on things which is more of a sim function than a PMDG function (though we've added our own "buttonology"), and a change in sim (from v2.5 to 3), the likely culprit is the sim itself.

Didnt start P3D loading only the PMDG plane into memory - I bet its that!
