October 29, 201510 yr Even better - try AI Controller. It'll control the AI traffic to fly proper SIDs and STARs, allows you full control over runway use, etc. Veery long thread in the FSX forum here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/462339-ai-controller-14-sid-jet-route-star-and-final-approach-new-beta/ Be warned, there is quite a bit of studying to do, but IMHO entirely worth it. How well does that get along with default ATC? Will I hear them telling planes to get back on course over and over?
November 24, 20169 yr I cant get ai controller to work with p3d v3. When I set the paths it is not able to read my scenery.cfg file even though i have pointed to the right directory. Seem that it only works with v2
November 24, 20169 yr How well does that get along with default ATC? Will I hear them telling planes to get back on course over and over? This is the reason I stopped using it. ATC will drive you up the wall and the best solution the mighty combined minds of AVSIM could come up with is to turn ATC chatter off if you are using this add-on. I'd rather use the features of the EditVoice add-on I paid for and just live with the Go-Arounds rather than listening to, "Delta 512, you are 500 below your assigned altitude..." or my favorite classic hit, "American, Turn left heading XXX..." OVER.. and OVER... again. You will ever be able to get a word in again if you using default ATC for your own flight. So yes.. bottom line... AI Controller will make the ATC constantly talk to the AI aircraft as it makes those minor adjustments to their paths to keep them separated properly. I have an additional funny side effect because I use extended contrails. You get to see all the AI making beautiful contrail loops in the sky all around your airport as they go into holding patterns to descend to their proper altitudes. It almost looks like cloud art. Captain K-Man FlightBlog Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCulqmz0zmIMuAzJvDAZPkWQ // Streaming on YouTube most Wednesdays and Fridays @ 6pm CST Brian Navy
