P3D doesnt come with military traffic. I believe you will have to buy my traffic 6.

I just bought this same board for my 6700k build. What ram did you end up using with it?

The way I understood the thread post 42 he never got past windows installation and gave up. I believe he sent everything to Jetline for them to finish it up. Either way Id sure love to see some results from broadwell as far as p3d goes.

He never got far enough with that build to run P3D did he? I ask because Ive been following that thread to see what that processor will do in the sim. Just making sure I didnt miss something. :smile:

So it comes down to the higher number of threads and increased number of memory cache wouldnt be as beneficial compared to a higher clocked skylake?

Newegg frequently puts the Warthog on sale for $299.00. Its well worth that price just be patient and set a price alert on it at neweggs site. Edit I just realized youre in the UK.

Starting to map out a new machine and like the title suggest, whats your opinions on the new 6850k processor? Not really worried about the price difference as much as I am any performance gains. It will be paired with a GTX 1080 SC card. I know the Skylake seems to be a popular choice around here but it seems like I read that Broadwell will have better performing cores.

So is this a stand alone from texture direct or will it be integrated?

JV said they had to do some more tweaking to get it to go along with new openlc, hopefully it won't be much longer.

Thinking about a new build and since ill probably get one of the new 1080 cards. What motherboard will give the best performance? I see some of you using asus, I have been using asrock extreme with my older i7 build. What are the things to look for when considering a motherboard? Thanks

I have the Thrusmaster pedals on preorder also. Good luck finding a set of Saitek pedals that aren't priced through the roof since the went out of production.

I'm not interested in starting over with add ons. The train sim guys say DTG are notorious for selling you something and not ever fixing the bugs. The videos I saw make it look like an Xbox release with no actual in game footage.

I cant comment on the 4k part but I use a 55" and its just too big for sitting in front of, like a monitor. I plan on going back to, at most a 48" when I take the 4k plunge.

To be honest the color is the reason I use default water. I really miss the option to change the water color in Rex. Really wished you guys would bring it back.

I use UT2. Its the best performing and best looking on my machine.

Agreed. Those robotic voiced programs that are available just don't cut it for me.

I wished they would do something with that blue water. It was being talked about over a year ago, I guess that idea fell by the wayside. That blue water is horrible looking.
