FSX-SE not detected

Featured Replies

When I try to install your packages my FSX-SE is not detected.

What could be reason? Which register enter is checked to find the installation? How could I fix this issue?

Thanks for your help.

A320 family immersion

A320 Family Immersion is only compatible with the Aerosoft A320/A321 and Aerosoft A318/A319 aircraft packages, not the older Aerosoft Airbus X.

They are available at the following link:

But I have all the new aerosoff Airbus installed.

When you run the installer there are the possibility to choose for which simulator you want to install the package (I have Airbus on my P3D v3 and on FSX-SE). In my case only P3D is automatically detected and not the FSX-SE so I cannot choose it.

This is the problem.

Then something must be wrong with your sim's registry or the aircraft's folder is not installed in the proper directory.

If you are using a Migration Tool, make sure it's not active.

I'm not using MT.

Aircrafts are installed in the default directory so also my opinion is that it must be something in my sim's registry that is corrupted. Which are the keys that are checked by the installation program?

Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator - Steam Edition\10.0

If that is not the issue, please report here the folders names of the aircraft in the SimObjects/Airplanes directory.

I'll check and let you know

The registry key you gave me exists and points correctly to the installation directory.

There are 5 different directories for the Airbus and are the following:

E:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft Airbus A320 CFM

...\Aerosoft Airbus A320 IAE

...\Aerosoft Airbus A320_A321 Base

...\Aerosoft Airbus A321 CFM

...\Aerosoft Airbus A321 IAE

Keven, it is likly SE and their conditional path with and without FSX installed,

try adding a reg key folder containing "appPath" entry; were your app is expecting path for SE,

Our Installers are looking for the AppPath Key in the Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator - Steam Edition\10.0 Path

You are suggesting that this Path/Key would change if FSX Classic is installed or not?

yes Keven, I’ve seen SE use the same path you listed above without the "\10.0"
(note the Co-Existence key in the image below! and the folder key without \10.0)

try adding a key with just a single entry for him -

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator - Steam Edition\10.0]
"AppPath"="xxx Fill in Path here xxx"

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

I'm now trying to figure out where is the path to the sim if it's not in this location?
