November 16, 201510 yr Hello All, while searching I have found a post on this forum related to issues with DX10 and using RadeionPro the post was rather old so I decided to ask the question before making any changes. I hope that DX10 stands for DirectX and my PC has Direct X 11 I use an Asus Radeon HD 7970, are there any guides I can follow to try and remove all the flickering I get on my screen? Many Thanks Nic PC Config: Windows 7 Home Professional (x64) Service Pack 1, Asus P8Z77-V, Intel Core I7 3770K 3.50 Ghz, 16 GB, PC3-memory, Asus Radeon HD 7970, Samsung 840 Pro Series 256 GB, S-ATA III.

November 16, 201510 yr Author Check out the DX10 Fixer How to Guide here: http://www.nzfsim.org/index.php?dsp=downloads&f_sort=fixer HTH Greg Thanks, I will, but does this also apply to Direct X 11?
November 16, 201510 yr Commercial Member FSX supports DX9 and DX10 depending on whether the "DX10 preview" option is selected or not inside fsx. Your computer supports DX11 but also DX10 and DX9 If as I suspect you are running FSX in DX9 mode then you need to read the avsim setup guide. If you want to run in DX10 you should read the DX10 guide references above. Both will tell you how to set up anti aliasing. You cannot run FSX in DX11 as it wasn't coded to support it, but that's not a problem because your computer supports DX9 and DX10 - ok? My FSX Analysis Blog
November 20, 201510 yr Author Hello, I have followed the guide at : http://www.avsim.com/topic/404430-optimal-settings-for-ati-users-with-fsx-great-results/ and I must admit, it did a world of good, I know there is also the other guide from the same author about RadeonPro and DX10 fixer, however since I do not intend yet to use DX10 I decided to follow the guide above. At this stage I would say I have two problems left 1- I finally see on the taxi way the yellow lines as they should be, but the white lines are still not solid but are flickering especially if a little distant 2 - Every so often I see flashes in the graphic, if I ws in bad weather I would thing is a tunder, but it happens at clear skyes Any suggestions of what I can change in addition to reduce this? Many Thanks Nic
November 22, 201510 yr Commercial Member I am sorry I have nothing useful to add, especially as it's dx9 which I don't use. I think some minor flickering in the distance is par for the course. The flashes sound more serious but ai really have no useful suggestions, if you are over clocking your card you could turn it off. And retest. My FSX Analysis Blog
