ActiveSkyNext/PMDG777/PFPX - weather loading problems

Featured Replies

These 3 are suppose to be well integrated with one another for weather. But I am getting mixed results. I get an invalid message on the fmc about uploading the des weather, but most of the time uploading the regular weather works, and sometimes its invalid. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong:

I am using the latest PFPX 1.23 and ASN for P3D and PMDG 777...

My understanding is that I do my entire flight planning with PFPX and export 2 files, the route file and the wx file into the PMDG 777...

When I load up the PMDG 777 and enter my info into the fmc, i upload the wind data and the des data, and i get an invalid error...

I'm not sure what's wrong. I have read threads where people say I have to create the flight plan using ASN so that the weather will work with the PMDG 777. But that doesn't make any sense... the reason I got PFPX was for its amazing flight planning with ASN support, and how it can incorporate ASN's weather into its flight plans... so I don't see a need to make a flight plan in ASN as well in order to get weather working into the PMDG's 777 fmc.

I really hope that this is something simple to resolve. I would like to use PFPX to create flight plans and then just be able to quickly load it into the FMC along with the weather data quickly and easily.

You need to load a flight plan in ASN in order to get wind aloft data along the route.

PS: You seem to be posting tons of threads lately which address topics you can easily answer yourself just by using google. This is not meant to sound mean, but is a suggestion so you get an answers quicker...
