Why is my airport elevation so weird?

Featured Replies

I have P3D v3 Academic, and I installed FTX Global, FTX Vector, FS Global 2010 FTX Edition. This is a screenshot of FSDT KDFW airport. I'm not sure why it looks like this, the elevation is off. I also notice a few other airports I flew past also had elevation issues like this. Either they were sunk under or uneven.

Ii didn't mess with any settings in FTX Global Configuration Tool/Airport Elevation Corrections nor did I mess with FS Global's Pilot Terrain Configuration Tool. Because I'm afraid that I might screw up something more.

What do I need to do in order to fix certain airports with elevation problems? Do I use FS Global Terrain Config tool or FTC Global Airport Elevation Correction tool?

It´s caused by Vector. Go to Vector Settings and use the elevation corrector.

Can you explain to me what I need to do in the Airport Elevation Correction section?

I see a 'run auto-configuration' and under that it says 'Please note that you should re-run auto configuration after installing, uninstalling, activating, or deactiving add-on scenery.'

And then under that there's a Manual Configuration section. Where it says AEC is enabled for, and Disabled for.

If I recall, last time I messed with this, it really messed things up. So I'm afraid of doing something wrong here. I would hate to reinstall P3D and all my add-ons again if this will permanently screw up elevation data at some of the airports.

You 'run auto-configuration' then press apply and that´s all.

If you install a new scenery and find the problem again, you just have to repeat those steps.
