December 4, 201510 yr I have 2 question for the DCS nerds and i will never bother anyone with questions again  Actually that's a lie (1) The Mig 21 in DCS is my favourite aircraft. Last year i had all my views set up, the thing that was very important to me was being able to hold the Space button down and then Pan around the aircraft and zoom in with my mouse (just like P3D) But for the life of me i can't remember how i set it up, its driving me nuts, i can move my head around with the Hat switch no problem but just cant get the panning mouse thing to work. (2) Even though this was my favourite aircraft i never actually Taxied in it as i could never figure out the ducking differential brakes. I do understand that you have to operate and manage the nose gear brake, and you have to break each wheel independently to operate the steering, this i understand but i don't know which keys to map to do this. I have watch several YouTube videos but my understand of it so far is the equivalent of putting an ashtray on a motorbike. How do i operate the steering
December 4, 201510 yr Elaine, I'm not next to my DS putter now, and I seldom use the Mig-21, but I intend to in the near future, as soon as they release a patch to make it correctly work with EDGE Alpha 2.0 over NTTR ... Meanwhile regarding 1) above, ALT-C is the key combination to alternate between mouse view and clickable cockpit modes. You can assign it to a button in your controller. Regarding 2) I have assigned it to one of the triggers in my T-16000. It has 4 trigger buttons available, so I used one and press it for the brakes, and then steer with the rudder to get differential breaking, just like in some RW taildraggers and the Russian fighters in IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad :-) I'm totally sold to DCS. Actually my only sim now on dis, together versions 1.5.1 and 2.0, and Condorsoaring for Winter time soaring at home.... Latter at home I'll try to install the Mig-21 bis also in 1.5.1 and try to find better answers for you ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

"Mouse cursor cockpit mode" - will allow you to pan & zoom with the mouse. 2. Assign "wheel brakes" as your brakes button, that will trigger the Gear brake lever on the pilot's flight stick. The 21 uses only this one single lever for braking (not the rudder pedals). Your rudder pedals controls the amount of braking pressure for each main wheel. For taxing, nosewheel brake has to be OFF, vertical position. Get roiling, use right/left rudder pedal & tap or hold the brakes handle, to turn. Kind regardsR.G

I don't have any of them options for the "mouse cockpit mode", i did though last year when i had it installed and it was working fine. Rite i am going to reinstall the Mig, maybe it installed wrong and something is messed up. 2.
