No contrails at 37,000

Featured Replies

I always had contrails in P3D at altitude. Today I am flying the NGX at 37000 and have no contrails at all. Temperature is -29C.  What could be wrong?

Hi Bob,

From the manual:

Contrails

[...] With 737 Immersion, contrails are visible even at low altitude when the air is saturated and the temperature goes below -25*C (-13*F) or lower. Denser contrails can be observed at -35*C (-31*F) or lower. [...]

Make sure you are looking at the OAT and not the TAT.

Keven

OK, this is December in New York City, but I forgot they are having a heat wave up there as well as in Atlanta where I live. Thanks, and I was looking at the wrong temp.

VFXCentral always runs in admin mode... but... oh well, if that fixes your contrails it's cool!
