December 24, 201510 yr I always had contrails in P3D at altitude. Today I am flying the NGX at 37000 and have no contrails at all. Temperature is -29C. What could be wrong?
December 24, 201510 yr Isn't -29C at FL370 pretty warm? I always figured a normal temperature is around -50C.

Hi Bob, From the manual: Contrails [...] With 737 Immersion, contrails are visible even at low altitude when the air is saturated and the temperature goes below -25*C (-13*F) or lower. Denser contrails can be observed at -35*C (-31*F) or lower. [...] Make sure you are looking at the OAT and not the TAT. Regards, Keven Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
December 24, 201510 yr Author Hi Bob, From the manual: Make sure you are looking at the OAT and not the TAT. Regards, Keven OK, this is December in New York City, but I forgot they are having a heat wave up there as well as in Atlanta where I live. Thanks, and I was looking at the wrong temp.
January 3, 201610 yr Author Found the problem. I forgot to run VFX Central in admin mode... I should know better....
January 5, 201610 yr Commercial Member VFXCentral always runs in admin mode... but... oh well, if that fixes your contrails it's cool! Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
