Northern Air Cargo's Delivery To Buffalo Airways

Featured Replies

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Buffalo Joe of Buffalo Airways bought DC-6 from Northern Air Cargo so the seller had to deliver the plane from PAFA Fairbanks International Airport three miles southwest of the central business district of Fairbanks, Alaska to PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport located 4 nautical miles southwest of downtown Anchorage for Buffalo Joe to pick his new purchase up.

Simply great!

Flying a DC-6 in Alaska is a theme that guarantees awesome pictures; and also hard work but also unbelievable fun for the pilot. (Some weeks ago I was also there with this type of plane.) I particularly love the "On final runway approach to runway 07R" shots.

GeyerH,

Thanks for your kind words. It is very impressive that you saw DC-6s in real life.

Aharon,

this would have been too much of fame for me - I was there with my simulator, not in real life (you even commented my screenshot thread). It would have been too nice to see DC6s in reality... In fact, the oldest planes I saw in real life were an An-12 and a Ju-52.

Best regards and shalom,

Harald
