Hi everyone, I just tried to use the majestic dash 8 for the first time with radar contact. Before entering the runway i switched the transponder to ALT. But after take off I was asked repeatedly to verify my squawk code as if the transponder wasn't on. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I'm still on the learning curve with the Majestic Dash 8, but here is the method which I use for entering the squawk code, and it has worked.

On the FMS push the Tune button. Then press LSK 4L to select ATC. A box with the heading ATC appears in the middle of the  FMS screen, and using the numerical pad on the FMS enter the squawk code, then press Enter twice.

This works ok for me, and hopefully it will solve your problem.
