January 26, 201610 yr Hey. Im "old" user of FSX Since FSX is at the market I have very large amount of addons-sceneries and planes. I bought P3D v3 and Im really happy how big improvment have compare to FSX. Lets leave FSX airplanes and talk about sceneries. My sceneries are installed at different SSD that P3D or FSX are installed. My P3D and FSX are again on to spare partitions. So what I did is-I add sceneries from FSX to P3D by some scenery Configurator. It was working greate but.. (Id like to mention that Im familiar with modding and editing fsx or p3d) 1.Probably most of sceneries are not compatybile with P3D coz no one heard about P3D 7 years ago...so required some tricks. 2.After adding some 255 additional sceneries to P3D-P3D sometimes do not start and is stuck at loading screen. 3.There is no conflict at scenery.cfg 4.Deleting scenery cfg and let P3D create newone-P3D starts like a rocket.(but there is no my scenry entries) 5.There is no changes done to p3d.cfg effects.cfg dll.xml exe.cfg so far. Is any one have some clue why its happend this? I dont want to reinstall sceneries strictly for P3D coz its mean to buy another SSD and more registy entrys that can cause issue later. Thank you for helping.
January 26, 201610 yr Unfortunately, you'd probably have to add them one by one in the cfg file to figure out which one is causing a problem. January 26, 201610 yr Author nope:( I delete shaders and let P3D to create new ones but it dosent help.
January 26, 201610 yr You don't happen to have any of the Night Environment series of products do you? If so there is currently a bug in P3D 3.1 which causes this to take a long time to load. It has been identified by the creator, Chris Bell and he has followed it up with LM and they have now confirmed it will be fixed for the next patch. If not using those products then I don't know. Cheers Stu Stuart Furley
January 26, 201610 yr My investigation shows me they are loading but after 20min idle time. Mayve you are running into this issue: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=116596 Had the same problem. Long loading screen (appears to be hung up but continues after 15 minutes or so). Disabled the Night Environment scenery -> worked fine again. Maybe you have the same issue with one of your sceneries.
January 26, 201610 yr Author Guys I didnt know about that Night Environent. Yes I do and for lots of countries.I will disabled and let u know. I can confirm that disabling NE allows to load P3D faster without issue.THX All countries where NE was installed was causing this issue when i try to load some scenery in this country.
