A solution for those who are facing controller issues in P3D v3

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Since making the move from V2 to V3 I have found that my trusty old Saitek controller would not cooperate with the latest version of P3d. Some of the axes would not be recognized within the game but appeared to be recognized and work fine within windows itself. This lead me to believe it is an issue within P3D. Further investigation into this problem led me to find that I am not alone in this situation and many are facing the same troubles. After hours of digging around I came across a piece of software that creates a virtual joystick that allows you to map your axes and buttons to the virtual joystick. So after playing around with this software I fired up P3D and hey presto the virtual joystick was recognized and all my axes were working perfectly

For those who are interested the software is called UJR -Universal Joystick Remapper and youll also need to install the Vjoy driver. Not sure if i'm allowed to post links but a quick search on google will point you in the right direction.

Hopes this helps.

FSUIPC wouldn't work?

I tried with FSUIPC but my axes still were not being recognised

Did you install the Saitek software and drivers available from MadKatz?  Once installed find the controller software and launch the control panel for each of the controllers so all axis for your yoke/stick/pedals/trim are recognized.
