  1. I tried with FSUIPC but my axes still were not being recognised
  2. Hi guys. Since making the move from V2 to V3 I have found that my trusty old Saitek controller would not cooperate with the latest version of P3d. Some of the axes would not be recognized within the game but appeared to be recognized and work fine within windows itself. This lead me to believe it is an issue within P3D. Further investigation into this problem led me to find that I am not alone in this situation and many are facing the same troubles. After hours of digging around I came across a piece of software that creates a virtual joystick that allows you to map your axes and buttons to the virtual joystick. So after playing around with this software I fired up P3D and hey presto the virtual joystick was recognized and all my axes were working perfectly For those who are interested the software is called UJR -Universal Joystick Remapper and youll also need to install the Vjoy driver. Not sure if i'm allowed to post links but a quick search on google will point you in the right direction. Hopes this helps.
  3. Ive been following this thread because like a lot of you Ive been having the exact same issues with graphics spiking and have tried absolutely everything and i mean everything to try and fix this damn problem. sometimes it would get so bad that the whole screen would be covered in messed up graphics. im using a 7970 in dx10 mode with the dx10 fixer and all settings enabled in the dx10 fixer tool. I made an adjustment to my LOD radius today from 4.5 to 6.5 and guess what?? no more spikes for me I thought noo wayy so I tested and tested again and yes, not a spike in sight. .. Normally my spikes or whatever you want to call them used to start about 5 mins after taking off and would get worse as i flew on, it would get so bad i could never finish a flight. today I finished two full flights lasting approx a hour and a half each with no spiking what so ever.. hope this works for you guys too. let me know if it fixes your problem. forgot to mention this used to happen even before installing the dx10 fixer so I believe it has nothing to do with the dx10 fixer tool. i have bufferpools enabled in my cfg along with the usual tweaks and edits. I doubt its to do with the bufferpools setting or water shader setting. My water setting is on low 2.x Hope this helps some of you and fixes your spiking issue. I know how frustrating it can be lol.... Im using a XFX 7970, i7 3770k oc'd to 4.8ghz and 16gb 2400mhz Gskill trident X DDR3. Now.. im off to Amsterdam in my PMDG T7 and spike free sim!! Finally i can now spend more time flying instead of tinkering and fixing problems lol Oh and the dx10 fixer tool is amazing, completely changed fsx for me. Fsx now runs like a dream Happy trails
