FlyTampa scenery ?

Featured Replies

Recently purchased Flytampa-Seattle and it's amazing. If I understand correctly this is considered their best. Thinking of buying some more flytampa scenery so it would be helpful if you guys could rank their scenery in order.ThanksSteve

Judging by the screenshots I'd say just look at the release date. FlyTampa seems to be getting better with each release so the most recent look most impressive to my eyes...1-Seattle 2-Chicago Midway, etc.I agree FlyTampa SeaTac is amazing. I wish Microsoft could license FlyTampa's techniques for the next version of FSIM.EG

I really love all their sceneries, SFO, SAN, MIA, Dubai, SEA. I have those. Miami is a little tough on the frames but thats OK. SFO is one of the most framerate friendly of theirs. Haven't purchased Midway because if I fly into Chicago its with a heavy and its into ORD

I too brought Seattle and then brought Midway. I tried the tampa demo when it first came out and felt it was a frame hog but not that bad of one so I really hesitated on buying anything from them. But after Seattle I realized that they seem to get better with each release and love the scenery. Will most likely be buying SAN from them soon as well.Kilstorm

I have all of there sceneries. Tampa is ok but not nearly as good as the others but I have heard it mentioned it might be redone for the next version of Flight Simulator. I think they make the best sceneries for Flight Simulator. Also Miami is continually being updated as construction continues.

SteveIf you want to stock up on FlyTampa airports then Aerosoft's US Airports CD is a good value package, which has San Francisco, San Diego, Miami and Tampa. Don't know where you are so postage may be an issue, but I got a good deal here in the UK.I like KSFO and KMIA best, but they're all good. Ian

All thier scenery is amazing; Tampa is the oldest hence the lower performance but it still beats most other scenery.Midway and Seattle are equal in terms of quality. Also check out KPVD from Flight Scenery utterly totally amazing stuff.

Yup, the Airports CD is a great value. PCAviator has it in the US and Aerosoft in Europe. The original Florida airports are a little harder on frame rates, but are definetly worth having. KSFO, KSEA and KMDW are works of art. Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

Fly Tampa's KSEA along with their KSFO scenery is one of best out there...along with many other good examples like Paris CDG/Marseille Provence (Sim-wings), KPVD (Flight Scenery) and the latest version of German Airports (Aerosoft)...:-cool

George Grimshaw is the SEA designer. He did KBOS here in the library. He was planning an update to BOS to reflect teh opeing of the new terminal A for Delta. There is also a terminal renaming in the works by Massport- no timefrae given, but Terminal D will be no more. E will become D. (E is international and NWA)
