I am not sure how the simmer made this exactly but I have a question. There are some clips in the link above where the camera is looking out over the nose from inside the cockpit. 

 

Does anyone know of software which would allow a user to record this view during a flight but what the user actually sees is the normal VC view. It would make for some great day in the life of a simmer videos.

I use EZCA (cameras) and Fraps (recording) and Sony Vegas Pro 12 (editing).

Maybe replayed it using FSRecorder?

I have been recording a few flights in P3D using the inbuilt recording tool. 

 

For best results I'm finding I need to playback and record in real time then perhaps speed up in post processing?

Sounds like a good plan. Using faster playback in FSX/P3D would reduce the resources available for each frame.
