Is it just me or the Navigation Display of the Triple Seven looks "very bright", while the Primary Flight Display (for example) varies conforming to the sun position. I have the VC shadows activated and working properly. I know I can adjust the brightness of the DUs via the dials, even so the ND seems to have a narrower range for this...

I don't have the T777  but shadows are only shown on surfaces that request to be shown as shadowed so its entirely possible that the model is as you describe.
