February 20, 201610 yr I have one aircraft (an MD DC-8) which has its VC by default set way out in front of the plane - in other words the VC shows the cockpit as a small space a few hundred metres in front of the aircraft. If I zoom in to x4.0 it at least looks acceptable. I can of course just zoom in every flight, but is there any way to set this 4.0x zoom just for this one aircraft in FS9? I am guessing not (searching these forums didn't lead to anything), though you can of course set the 2D zoom in the panel.cfg. [Views]VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM= I clearly don't want to set my default flight with this VC zoom or all my a/c will be affected. Thanks, Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
February 20, 201610 yr Sound like the view point is wrong. From the C172 aircraft.cfg... [Views]eyepoint= -3.95, -0.85, 2.1 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum Try changing the longitudinal value. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
February 20, 201610 yr Author Ah, of course! I've done that before (to adjust the vertical value), but a long time ago and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder Joe!! Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
