I remember that a couple of years ago I had cancelled out the sound of Fuel Trucks and Automobiles as their constant sound while on the tarmac was annoying.   You could check this out at Sim Objects > Ground Vehicles, and change the file name of the Sound and Soundai folders for Automobiles and Fuel Trucks.   I changed it to mute.sound and mute.soundai.   Since most vehicles listed there are aliased to these two types of vehicles, this should virtually cancel out the sounds of all ground vehicles.   Anyway, worth a try since your options are fast disappearing.
