3 Point Landing

Recommended Posts

I like this aircraft, but I have noticed in replays of my landings, I'm touching down on all 3 gear at the same time. This happens even at 1/2 flap settings and just above stall speed. Is this normal for the Aztec? It could just be me, but the landings are usually very smooth and no bounce, like you would get in a real aircraft if you tried to touch down too fast.

Back in the day I can remember PA23s landing in snow operations where the nose wheel was held off for as long as possible.

On this model the nose gear oleo has a long way to travel but I can't remember now if that was the case in real life.

Anyhow I've just tested a 61kt landing at 1/2 flap and my copy landed on the mains then , with neutral elevator , quickly sank down on to the nose.

Seems OK to me

Interesting, because the config file shows stall speed as 60 KTAS for full flaps, and 67 for flaps up.

Hey Tanker, here is what the POH has for the stall speeds. You have to watch that KCAS vs KIAS when the speeds are critical. Have you checked the correction card in the cockpit?
