Eh...honestly, if you're not under ATC control, you're not exactly watched like a hawk (unless you're getting close to controlled airspace). The position history is also usually relatively short, too, so they're not going to see a track history that made any of that obvious. Do keep in mind that flight training is a regular occurrence in many areas, and those areas would see lots of odd flight paths. Moreover, I'm not sure how their systems work over there, but over here STARS and ERAM allow for various filters to be applied to the scope such that you're only seeing the aircraft you need to be seeing.
