To be clear, the DA-42 will be a free update to all users. It will be part of their Multi-Engine certification training. Pre-Ordered as soon as I saw this. I will be a Multi Engine Commercial by the time Flight Simulator is released! 

Considering the cost of many add-ons for FSX/P3D are at least twice this much, I consider this a no-brainer. I was happy with what Dovetail did with FSX:SE and am happy to support this company. I don't know if the focus of this particular sim will appeal to me, but at this price if I can get a couple of hours of enjoyment out of it I'll consider it a good investment. Worst case, if it's horrible then I know not to pre-order their full sim. If it's REALLY horrible Steam has a money-back guarantee.
