April 9, 201610 yr Author So I found that the FedEx words on the engines only appear when the landing lights are on. Can anyone tell me if this is fixable?
April 9, 201610 yr So I found that the FedEx words on the engines only appear when the landing lights are on. Can anyone tell me if this is fixable? It is. The plane uses a conditional display for a more realistic light splash. This display calls a texture, look through them until you find the offender. You might need to look at the Alpha channel to see it. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
April 9, 201610 yr Author I have no idea how to do that. Any chance I could get you to look at "ups_md-11__sms_.zip" and check it out?
April 9, 201610 yr Once I found the download (would have been nice if you told me where you got it) I found the offending file. fspap_PW4460_l.bmp is the bad file. Your options are... 1) fix the texture yourself, if you know how 2) move the texture out of the folder and test, it may work fine without it. It may not. 3) find another download that uses plain white engines and borrow the texture for the UPS paint. 4) if none of the above work, see if you can find someone else to fix it, if the original painter won't. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
April 9, 201610 yr Author I don't even remember where I got. I don't know how to fix it myself as I said but I will try some of the other options and see what happens. The orig painter's account is no longer active as mentioned above. Thanks!
April 9, 201610 yr Author So it looks like just removing that file seems to work. I guess that's odd to me but perhaps you can explain why that is. Thanks very much!
April 9, 201610 yr perhaps you can explain why that is. That texture is a lightmap, which is an additive texture. Meaning it doesn't replace the day texture it adds to it. As the sim can't find that texture, something plus nothing leaves you with the something. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
