April 14, 201610 yr Which one is best overall for game reliability/performance? I'm with FSX now and have been wrestling with random freezing, CTD's, and OOM's. fsx-se fixes most of the stability and crashing issues with fsx. there is a subtle performance increase but nothing huge. it is still possible to get OOMs, although fsx-se generally releases memory better than fsx does so it reduces the chances of it happening. unfortunately OOMs are mainly a side effect of the 32-bit limitation and how many addons one tries to squeeze into the sim and what settings one is using. cheers -andy crosby
