I found a better solution for me at least . I have the carenado f 406  I took the adf radio guage from that plane and replaced the adf in the shrike with it .the 3d knobs fit perfectly,  and it" talks "to the 2d pop up just fine so if you want to use the extra functions like the timer you still can with the pop up 

you must pay attention, put the cursor right on outer knob, right click and see the knob is pushed, that is the third digit
