June 13, 20169 yr Hello All, So far I LOVE this plane, but I have one nagging issue. After finishing a flight, I'm unable to move the gust lock lever. It works perfectly before departure, but after parking I'm unable to get the lever to move. I've tried every combination of throttle position, prop lever position, brakes on/off, yoke position, but no luck. The mouse turns into the hand manipulator when I'm over the lever, but nothing happens when I click. Anyone else? Evan Purcell
June 13, 20169 yr Yes, same here. After parking (and running parking AFE) the lock won't move. Do you use the AFE? I use him but I also "cancel" him especially in cruise to set custom BHP. After saving and loading scenario it works again. Edit: Haven't flown the current patched version of the DC-6. Maybe it's patched out because of changelog: "- Gust lock housing tweak"? Kind regards, Stefan Sondermann
June 13, 20169 yr Commercial Member Anyone else? Neutralize the trims to ensure the elevator can sit in the correct position. Yes, same here. After parking (and running parking AFE) the lock won't move. See above. Kyle Rodgers
June 13, 20169 yr It's not a bug, it's a feature; ouch such a basic thing overlooked. Also makes sense... just watch the outside view when trimmed full up or down... Thanks Kyle. Kind regards, Stefan Sondermann
June 14, 20169 yr Neutralize the trims to ensure the elevator can sit in the correct position. Well that would explain why the FE wasn't able to complete the After Landing flow for me last night, it stopped at gust lock and just waited, it didn't seem to be playing with the trim. As a thought, it might be worth adding a "waiting for neutral trim" status? At least then you'd know what it was waiting for.
